PCWS is proud to be a co-sponsor of the upcoming Beauty is a Verb event—a reading and roundtable discussion on September 13th and 14th at the University of Pittsburgh. The reading will feature editors of and contributors to the groundbreaking anthology, Beauty Is a Verb: The New Poetry of Disability.
Poets featured at the reading, scheduled for September 13th at 8:30 p.m. in the O’Hara Student Center Auditorium, include Jennifer Bartlett, Michael Northen, and Kathi Wolfe.
The roundtable will take place at Pitt’s Humanities Center, 602 Cathedral of Learning, from 10 a.m.–Noon on September 14th, on the topic “Disability/Disability Studies in the Humanities.” Both events are free and open to the public. Pitt’s Office of Disability Resources and Services will provide real-time captioning and an interpreter for both the roundtable the evening reading.
Anthologies will be available for purchase.
